  1. Wow, love your pics of all the Amalfi Coastal towns. It looks like the train & the ferries seem the best ways to get around or perhaps are the most fun. We definitely have it on our Southern Italy Bucket list to visit Maiori to see all those classic beach umbrellas and hang out on the beach, though I think Darcee would love to walk around those small streets of Amalfi or Positano! Either way, these 8 Amalfi Coast towns look amazing!

  2. Sorrento, Amalfi, Capri… these names are so iconic! They have featured is so many books and movies I feel bad I haven’t visited yet. Driving around these places trying to find a park would be a nightmare though, I think I’ll take the trains and ferries to get around…

  3. Thanks for taking me back to some of my favourite place to visit. Maiori and Cetera are towns I have not visited. But then I would probably add Praiano to my list of favourite Amalfi towns. I love visiting the Amalfi Coast when it is off season so I can enjoy the beaches and seafood without the crazy crowds. I would add that you really should stay on Capri so you can enjoy the island once the last ferry departs for the day. Simply magical. Thanks for making me pine to return!

  4. The Amalfi coast is one of my absolute favourite places to visit! I love all of these towns as they are so
characterful and picturesque. I recall being quite bemuse arriving in Positano when we were
deposited at the edge of the village and had to walk down through the narrow streets and alleyways,
pulling suitcases along! Of all these towns though, I think my favourite is Ravello, partly because it is more out of the way and quieter. As you say, it has the most wonderful views.

  5. I visited Sorrento in 2005 on a family trip and even then as a grumpy ass teenager I thought it was amazing, I’ve always wanted to go back since then and see more. Hopefully we will be doing that next year (was supposed to be this year!!) whilst travelling around Europe! Can’t wait and this has given us some great ideas!
