Get a drink at CÉ LA VI Skybar

Visiting a rooftop bar is a must while in Singapore and luckily, in there is a lot to choose from. Despite all the choices, there is one rooftop bar that far exceeds the others called: CÉ LA VI. This is one of the most instagrammable places in Singapore and offers stunning views of the city both during the day and at night.
The bar is located 57 stories up and is placed right on top of the famous Marina Bay Sands hotel. The best time to go here is an hour before sunset so you can see the panoramic views in the daylight, watch the sunset, and watch the city buzzing in the night. This is also one of the most romantic things to do in Singapore that should be added to every couples to do list.
Tip: You can also pay for a ticket to go to the top of the Marina Bay Sands to view the Singapore skyline. This gives you access to certain areas to view the city that is only accessible via a ticket.

When to visit Singapore

How to get from Changi Airport to Singapore
Getting from Changi Airport to Singapore is actually very easy! There is an MRT station in the airport in the basement of terminal 2. There are signs all around the airport that say “Train to the city”, so if you follow those you will get there easily. You can purchase a ticket from the machines in the station which are about 2$ SD.
Then, you will take the MRT to Tanah Merah Station and then transfer to the East-West Line, which is the Green Line, that is heading towards Tuas Link Station. More so, you will travel 8 stops on the green line and stop at Bugis Station and from here transfer to the Downtown Line, which is the Blue Line. Take this train from two stops and get off at Bayfront Station.
This whole journey will take around one hour. However, you can also get a taxi which is quicker, but more expensive.
Where to stay in Singapore
Singapore is not the cheapest place to find accommodation. In fact, even capsule hotels can get a little pricey. Be prepared to spend a little on your accommodation when visiting Singapore and take it in stride as part of the Singapore experience.

The views from above are stunning in Singapore. Will have to add the CE LA VI Skybar for our next visit. We loved finding the local markets. So much choice and great prices. But private dining in the Cable Car may top our list for a return trip!
We had no idea that there’s a cable car in Singapore. If we ever visit Singapore, we’ll most probably spend one of our evenings in a cable car to enjoy the views! Although, 90 minutes is really short for dinner! That’s a pity about Asian and American cultures: you’re forced to eat fast, which we’re not used to in Europe. haha… We always spend at least 3-4 hours for dinners in restaurants.
Wow, you are right! The city does come alive at night. I would definitely do a lot of these recommendations, like grab a cocktail on a rooftop bar, walk along the waterfront, Ferris Wheel, and dine at a restaurant with a view. All night shopping? I think I would do that during the day, when you want to escape the heat.
Singapore sure is a fabulous city during the day and at night. Gardens By The Bay are one of the most unique places I’ve ever seen. I went to Ce La Vi roof top bar and it really does have the best views of the city at night. Love your suggestion of dining in a cable car and enjoying a 4 course meal at night up there.
