8 Best Beaches in Herceg Novi, Montenegro

Herceg Novi Beach

Herceg Novi Beach is one of the towns most popular beaches that is located just below the Old Town and right beside the towns main Harbour.

Here you will find a both a section for sunbeds and a free section where you can layout with your own towel and beach gear. Just note, the beach is a rock beach so its not the most comfortable.

📍 Find this beach It can be HERE!

This beach can get pretty busy in the summer months and is one of the more popular beaches in Herceg Novi.

💡 One of the reasons I love this beach is the fact that you can walk into the water which is rare for beaches in Herceg Novi.

Beach Topla

Beach Topla is a public beach shared with a private hotel beach. The public part is a cement beach which is common in Montenegro with a paid sunbed section and a large free section.

This is a more lively beach where you will always find loud music and lots of people. There are also tables and chairs and a drinks bar where you can get beverages throughout the day.

💡 This beach you can only get in and out with a ladder (no walking in).

Beach Žaba

Beach Žaba is one of my favorite beaches in Herceg Novi. It is one of the smaller beaches in Hercge Novi but honestly such a good local gem.

It is another cement beach built on cement blocks into the water – it is only accessible by ladders into the water.

There is a paid sunbed area, tables and chairs, and a free part. I personally love to sit at the tables because they are covered with umbrellas and you can get drinks while you relax.

Rafaello Beach

Rafaello Beach is one of the more “expensive sunbed” beaches in Herceg Novi that has the paid sunbed part and a free part.

📍 Find this beach here!

This is a great beach because you can walk in the water here and the water is super calm.

💡 The “sand” is mid sized pebbles which are kinda painful to walk on.

Golden Bay Beach Bar

Golden Bay Beach Bar is a newer beach in Herceg Novi that is VERY small but super cute. With some sunbeds and day beds for rent, it is really aesthetic and different. They also have a bar here so you can get drinks while you sunbathe and swim.

One thing I love about this beach is that it’s a lot more quiet and relaxing than some of the other beaches in Herceg Novi.

Copas Beach

Copas Beach is another one of my favorite beaches in Herceg Novi with only around 20 sunbeds for rent that fill up quickly.

One of the reasons I love this beach so much is that if you are tall enough you can touch the ground closer to the shore and the seafloor is sandy! This is pretty rare in Herceg Novi.

Bla Bla Beach

Bla Bla Beach is one of the largest beaches in Herceg Novi with a ton of cement space to lay out on for free and sunbeds for rent.

One of the best things about this beach is that you can get in from ladders or walk in from the shore.

📍 Find this beach here!

Zanjice Beach

Zanjice Beach is not technically in Herceg Novi anymore but it is one of my FAVOURITES in all of Montenegro. To get here you will have to take a 45-minute ferry from the Herceg Novi Harbour to Zanjice.
