Amsterdam is a city FULL of wonderful restaurants to fit any needs! From cozy hidden cafes to high-class canal-side dinners, there is no shortage of choices. As for myself, I am a sucker for a restaurant that has a nice aesthetic feel to it. A pretty location is almost as important to the food (almost!).
The best thing about the restaurants in Amsterdam is that they offer a wide range of different cuisines and dishes from around the world. Whether you are looking for Italian, French, Japanese or anything else you will surely be able to find it amongst Amsterdams sea of restaurants.
To make your restaurant search a little bit easier I have come up with a list of the top restaurants in Amsterdam! These are the top restaurants in Amsterdam that taste as good as they look.
Mr. Stacks
- Hours: 9 AM – 6 PM
- https://www.mrstacks.nl/
Mr. Stacks is the absolute best breakfast/brunch place in Amsterdam. What’s most interesting about Mr. Stacks is that the whole menu is 100% vegan! For me this is amazing, but for some people, the word vegan is synonymous with “tasteless” however this could not be less true.
The pancakes are unique, tasty, and like nothing you will find anywhere else. Plus they offer vegan tacos, vegan burgers and more for those of you who prefer a more savory meal.
Pluk
- Hours – 9 AM – 6 PM
- http://www.pluk-amsterdam.com/en/
Pluk is the perfect brunch place with two locations in Amsterdam. The menu is amazing with a bunch of healthy meal options, cute drinks, and the BEST dessert corner. In addition to this, the interior is super cute and instagramable.
They even sell little home decor items in store. I recommend trying one of the smoothie bowls, or going for a nice latte with a slice of cake! Make sure you are ready to wait in line, both Pluk locations get very busy during breakfast/lunchtime.

Vegan Junk Food Bar
- Hours: 11 AM – 12 AM

VJFB is a restaurant that is absolutely AMAZING. I’m a vegetarian so this is right up my alley, but I’ve brought my non-vegan friends and they’ve even said it’s BETTER than the meat alternative! It’s the perfect junk food restaurant for anyone looking for a burger or fries.
I highly recommend the “Loaded Fries Kapsalon” and “Daddy MC CHIK’N Burger”.

Bam BOA
- Hours: 11 AM – 11 PM

Bamboa is a new lunch and dinner restaurant located in Amsterdam East. It is the ultimate “instagrammable” restaurant in the city from its interior all the ay to its food. The interior looks like a beachy bohemian paradise and is beyond aesthetically pleasing. More so, the food is very unique and tasty! You can find all sorts of meals and sides to fit your needs, plus a nice range of cocktails.

Wow Pluk looks super fancy and super expensive. Do you know what kind of prices to expect when visiting? Thanks!
